A continuing theme for my work is the temporal nature of the natural world, a metaphor for our mortality. And although this concept permeates my state of being, this spring the world had a more beautiful story to tell. 

However, in addition to a series of vibrant pastels evoking the glory of the world we see, I also took a look at a darker world beneath the surface of the earth and found a plethora of fantastic organisms profoundly effecting our world and impacting the growth and the beauty we are looking for.
